About Us
Hello. We are Sarah and Katie. We are so excited to meet you!
Co-Founder of Coastal Nutrition
Sarah Gullins, Registered Dietitian
Greetings! I'm a keen and passionate Registered Dietitian, dedicated to helping you make positive food choices and develop a healthy relationship with food. With an evidence-based approach, my mission is to motivate and empower you to take charge of your own health and well-being, and I'm absolutely thrilled to be part of your journey towards improved nutritional health.
My expertise comes from completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph and a one-year internship with Nova Scotia Health Authority. I’ve been a dietitian for over 4 years and for the last year, I've been working with the Primary Care Network in Vancouver, gaining valuable experience in dealing with various chronic diseases.
Beyond my work, you'll find me indulging in my love for skiing, hiking, horse riding, and playing volleyball. I'm also an adventurer at heart and have unforgettable memories of living in a converted camper van for six months.
Together, we'll explore the exciting world of nutrition and find ways to make it a source of joy and nourishment. I can't wait to embark on this transformative journey with you, helping you make meaningful changes towards a healthier and happier lifestyle. Let's get started!

Co-Founder of Coastal Nutrition
Katie MacDonald, Registered Dietitian
Hi, I'm Katie and I can’t wait to work with you! Since starting my dietetics career in 2019, I have consistently sought opportunities to expand and diversify my skill set by working in hospitals, outpatient clinics and private nutrition consulting. My passion is conveying nutrition science in a fun and personalized manner. I strive for you to leave our sessions feeling heard, as I'm dedicated to helping you achieve your goals your way.
I am a weight-inclusive dietitian with a background in acute and chronic disease, eating disorders, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, oncology and digestive disorders. My commitment to lifelong learning led me to complete training on the use of the low FODMAP diet for IBS through Monash University and numerous other courses.
While I have a well-rounded background, my deepest passion lies in digestive health, as I view this as a central component of social, emotional, and physical well-being. As someone who has struggled with IBS myself, I know how isolating and confusing it can be not knowing what will trigger a symptom flare-up and the feeling of distrust in your body.
Since learning how to manage my own symptoms with a multifaceted approach, I am motivated to help you do the same! I aim to identify the root cause of your problem, help you make confident food choices, restore your relationship with food and live a vibrant life!
